My name is Ivan Westley
Back in April 2019, tarot helped me overcome a transition from the familiar to the unknown. The familiar was my involvement in the local music scene. I have been playing guitar for over 25 years, and was involved in creating and playing music from my roots in Montreal to here in Toronto. But the last few months within the music realm, have felt like a chore and tapped me of my creativity and passion.
After playing my final show in April 2019, my wife gave me a Tarot starters deck during my time off from work. The thought of tarot involvement has slowly crept within my subconscious from previous visits to Healing/Divination shops, in and outside Toronto, with my wife. She reads Angel and Oracle cards, and the Tarot decks on the store shelves would always catch my eye. Curiosity was getting the best of me.
Upon opening the box that the cards came in, my mind was racing with excitement and a new fire was stoked that has helped drive my passion to this day. The beginners book was telling me to best remember the meanings of all 78 cards by attaching my own personal experiences to the cards images. Suddenly the 8 of Cups (Regeneration), 4 of Swords (Rest), and The Hermit (Self-Reflection) best represented my current state as a 2-Dimensional mirror. I was learning more about myself and how to open up and be honest. Acceptance is a leap forward to exposing yourself; your strengths and your weaknesses.
Tarot has made me aware of my surroundings and the people/animals that I come in contact with each day. My intuition (which we all have, if not yet fully awake, just temporarily sleeping), is a new guide that I am learning to trust with open heart, mind, and soul.
I’ve also learned that the local Tarot communities that organize workshops, discussion groups, and personal group card readings (with tea!), is a wonderful start to get together with like minded souls and discuss our passion with Tarot. I’ve made many friends through these interactions.

In December 2019, I completed my 12 week Master Tarot Certification course.

In October 2020, I completed a 6 month Professional Tarot Practitioner Certification course.

In February 2021, I completed a 4 week Introduction to Runes Magic (Non-Certified) course.

In March 2021, I completed a 50 hour online Norse Mythology Certification course.

In June 2021, I completed a 150 hour online Rune Divination Certification course.

In October 2022, I was awarded the Holistic Health Practitioner Spiritual Excellence Halo Award.
I will always forever be a student of Tarot/Runes and will keep expanding on what I can offer to my clients.
